Draft: this policy is still being reviewed and may change before launch.
1. Core Privacy Invariants
MeetSide is engineered with privacy as a foundational constraint:
- No GPS Tracking: We never capture, track, or store public GPS locations.
- Space Isolation: Your profile and interactions are scoped strictly to the individual space (event or community) you join. There is no global cross-space member directory.
- Private by Default: Contact details (email, phone, social handles) are never displayed in the directory or shared with event organizers. They are revealed strictly when you explicitly choose to share them in an accepted peer coordination thread.
- Self-Reported Presence: Check-ins represent voluntary, self-reported availability and automatically expire with time.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information provided directly by you:
- Authentication credentials (email address for OTP or OAuth identifier).
- Space profile information: Display name, brief bio, skills, offers, and looking-for tags.
- Self-reported check-in durations.
- Introduction requests and peer coordination messages between accepted participants.
- Post-meeting feedback on whether an encounter occurred and was useful.
3. Organizer Access Boundaries
Organizers receive aggregate metrics (e.g. total attendance, number of sent/accepted intros, confirmed encounters) and safety moderation reports. Organizers cannot view private member coordination messages or export attendee contact details.
4. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full autonomy over your data:
- You may hide your profile from the directory at any time.
- You may check out to cease showing availability.
- You may leave a space or request full account deletion by emailing privacy@meetside.com.
